Reason for this visit

According to the Reuters, the United Kingdom has expanded its leading position in the field of global FX trading in the years since it voted to leave the European Union. In addition, the British retail foreign exchange market has one of the world's three most stringent regulatory bodies, that is the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Many FX dealers take obtaining FCA regulation for pride, and also hope to enter the country to develop market business. To help investors or practitioners have a more comprehensive understanding of the dealers in that country, the survey team is going to UK for site visits.

On-site visit

This time the survey team visited the dealer Valutrades in London, UK, with the specific address at 51 Eastcheap London EC3M 1JP UNITED KINGDOM.

According to the above address, the survey team came to the destination of this survey, WEWORK, a well-known shared office in the United States. It looked like a coffee shop. Since the glass window was in brown, the light inside was not very well. In addition, the space inside was also very small where there was a small staircase. 

The surveyors did not find any information about the dealer Valutrades in the lobby. After being informed by the receptionist, the surveyors learned that the company name or logo would only appear in the rented sublet. 

Later, the surveyors found the office of the dealer Valutrades upstairs, with their logo on the glass as well. There were about 4~5 staff working in the office. Unfortunately, the surveyors were refused by the staff to enter the office for further visits. 

Conclusion

The survey team went to London, UK, to visit the dealer Valutrades. It was confirmed that the dealer’s office was indeed located at the exhibition address. However, please be prudent when trading with this broker.
