Inspection Reason

Recently, many investors hoped for disclosure of more Australian brokers with fake addresses. In order to meet their demand,

a surveyor went to visit KVB for a closer look.

Company Building

According to the regulatory information, the address of KVB in Australia is Level 38, 120 Collins Street Melbourne VIC 3000.The surveyor visited the spot.

Guided by the regulatory information and the map, the investigator successfully found this ordinary building. After entering the building, they found the lobby was bright and clean, and was decorated sumptuously.

The survey personnel checked the floor guide and did not find KRG’ name. According to the previous survey experience, companies that didn’t display on the floor guide may also have offices in the building. It didn’t mean that the real address of this broker was different from its regulation address.

In order to ensure the survey was accurate, the investigators took the elevator to the 38th floor and found this floor was divided into three office areas, which respectively belongs to BAIN&COMPANY, Infrastructure Capital and QUALITAS. KVB didn’t have any office in this building. 

Inspection Conclusion

It was confirmed after the surveyors’ inspection that the real address of KVB in Australia was different from its regulation address. Although the broker held the MM License (Regulatory No.334293) issued by ASIC, its Futures License issued by SFC (Regulatory No.AQG528) was a suspicious clone. Moreover, it was showed by the Financial Service Corporate License issued by FSPR (Regulatory No.488226) and the Investment Advisory License issued by ASIC (Regulatory No.319738) that the broker overran the business scope regulated by FSPR and ASIC. The investors should keep cautious.
